SOLAR INVERTERS

Ongrid Inverters

Ongrid inverters sent the electricity produced by the solar panels either to the loads, or to the grid. Can be found in single phase and treephase. Their power ranges from 1KW to 65KW per units.

Off Grid Inverters

Offgrid inverter make a solar system work without being connected to the grid. Simple utility inverter starts at 1KW and can range up to multiple megawatt, used for factories or mining solution for example. Here are the three different types of offgrid inverter :

Hybrid Inverters

Hybrid inverter is a ongrid inverter that also integrate batteries. The batteries used with hybrid inverter are usually lithium or GEL.

Hybrid inverters collect the power of the sun, and send the electricity back to the loads, the grid or batteries.

UPS

Inverters and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units can both produce AC power from DC sources, and they are often confused for this reason. However, a UPS is a more sophisticated device with more functions, and it uses an inverter as one of its internal components.

In simple terms, an inverter receives electric power from direct current (DC) sources like batteries or solar panels, and it provides the alternating current (AC) used by most appliances. A UPS also has this function, but it has additional features is that there is no interruption of electricity supply during the switch from grid power to battery power. It’s useful for system containing sensitive material that cannot be unplug such as datacenter or medical equipment.
